My Poetry - Swimming with the Fish

Aloha everyone.
Last holidays me and my family took a trip to America.
While we were there we went to some theme parks but there was one place in particular that I will remember forever and that was a place called Discovery Cove. It didn't have any rides or anything because it was more like experiences and views. There we got to swim with dolphins and fish and so that is what I have written my poem about.
Hope you like it?

Swimming With The Fish

As I took a dip under the blue
The colour flashed before my eyes

As the people talk and the ocean claps
I can see the fish feeding on their snacks

The humans crowd around
To watch the animals eat

The fish swarm in between our legs
Huddle up, then return and brush our feet

A boy squeals as the stinger brushes bye

When all he was trying to do was say hi.

Have you ever gone fishing before? Did you catch anything?
Have you ever swam with dolphins? What was it like?

Top Team

Hello bloggers, welcome back.
This blog is going to be about an event we did at school called top team.
It's where some people come into our school and set up some group challenges for us to do. We did this in our camp groups.
My favourite challenge was when we had to build the biggest tower we can until the time stops, we did this with some blue wooden blocks.
Another one of the challenges was when we each got a bucket and we lined up in a line. There was even bigger buckets in front of us filled up with water and then there was just a normal bucket at the back of the line. The person at the front had to fill it's bucket up with water and then tip the water into the person behind them's bucket and they had to do this going over the back of their heads, so without looking. You had to carry this on until the water get's to the end of the line and then the end person has to try and get the water into the end bucket.

Those are just some of the challenges that we did but there were way more.
What's a team building challenge that you've done at your school?

Tough Kids

Hey everyone.
Today I'm going to talk to you about an event we did this week called tough kids.
It's where different schools get together and do a big obstacle course that includes heaps of different challenges, such as climbing over rope, running through water that was half way up your body, crawling in mud and so much more.
Each school went in different heats, turns out my school had to be split up because there was so many of us wanting to do the course, that means we ended up in two heats.
The best part was at the end where there was a big water slide, and then another good part was these small baby blow up pools filled up with water lined up one by one and we got to jump in them, it was really refreshing because it was a really hot day.

Have you ever participated in tough kids, what was is like?

Reflection on Sports

Hello everyone,
For this post I would like to share with you my reflection on our school sports.
The sports we did were KorfballCricketLawn Bowls and Soft Ball.

Out of all of them my favourite my favourite sport would have to be korfball. I liked korfball because it's almost like netball and basketball mixed together with a few added rules.
It's like netball because you can't move  your feet while you have the ball except you can pivit and pass. It's also like basketball because you are able to get up in other peoples faces but you just can't touch them or the ball.

Lawn bowls - with this sport you are softly rolling an adult hand size ball and trying to get it as close as you can to the small ball that has been rolled somewhere on the lawn.

Have you played all of these sports before, what ones your favourite?
Have you heard of all of these sports before, if not, what ones?

Attitude Presentation

Hello everybody and welcome to my blog.

A few days ago we had two people come in to talk to us about the human body and the attitude you should have towards it.
At first we had a man come in and the whole 97 of us went in the hall and listened to the presentation.

The next day there were two people who came in, this time it was the man plus another woman who works with him.
In this lesson they decided to split us up into two groups, one group of girls and one group of boys. Each group went into a different space, the girls got the girl instructor and the boys got the boy instructor.

We got to play some games and do some quizzes and still managed to learn a lot. I learnt that the hands and feet are the first parts of your body to grow.

Hope, you learnt something new, if you would like to know more just visit the website: Link

BFG - Summer Learning Journey

Character Description - BFG
- I know that BFG stands for big friendly Giant which means that he must be friendly and very big.

I picture him  having some very big popping out ears and a big nose as well.

- I can imagine that his hair is quite messy and even him himself is quite messy and dirty too

- I think he will have some very old clothes

- He loves pickles and he probably smells like them too.

- I think he will smell very grubby and stinky too because he lives in a very dirty house.

- Even though most of the other giant are big and grumpy I can tell that he has a friendly heart.
