R.E Advertisement

Welcome back bloggers.
Today I want to show you my R.E Advertisement.
I have made a pamphlet with my colouring pencils and stuff like that, it's about Reconciliation/Confession.
I chose this because I know that it doesn't just help me but it helps a whole heap of people around the world know that they are fully forgiven by God and it helps lift their regrets off of their chest.
Here it is:

Have you ever made your own pamphlet?

Final Science Investigation

Hello everyone, here is my final scientific investigation.
Me and my friend decided to do something that's a hard and a solid at the same time...
Oobleck, we thought this would be not just a good project but it would be fun to do as well.

This table below will tell you the rest.

Have you ever played with oobleck?
What corn flour/corn starch did you use and have you found anything different about different types?

Volunteering

Welcome back, for my blog today I want to write about how my class all went volunteering.
There were three different charity's that we could volunteer to help. We could do the..
Food Bank
Graffiti removal
Curtain Bank

And I did Graffiti removal.
We got to our first destination and picked up our paint, then we were taken to the graffiti (It was on a fence) and painted over it with grey paint.
My uncle came to help us with our painting because he did it for a job and it was a really fun time.
It felt really good to help out this cause and I hope I can help them again sometime.

What's a cause that you've ever helped and what did you do to help them?

My Narrative Writing

Hello everyone.
For this blog post I am going to share with you My Narrative Writing.
It's a very long story and I've put a whole heap of effort into it.
It may not be perfect yet because I'm still working on it but..
Here it is:

There are so many houses in the world, with teenagers and tweenagers, babies and toddlers. But there is one special house with a special child. This child will do big things, this is the child who will make a difference in the world, but this certain child, will not have an easy ride.
Her names Stacey, simple right. Stacey also has a brother, Cameron, again another casual name. As you can see, so far it doesn’t seem like anything is special or something to wow about, because they’re just normal children and you know what, I agree. But it’s not their names or their looks that make them special, it’s their decisions and their personality that strives for success in this world.

I’m a person who looks forward to the future and learns from the past, so let me tell you a bit about the future, their future.
”I got my drivers license,”
“Good job honey, how about you Stace, how d’ya go?”
“Terrible, apparently I actually need to listen to what the driving instructor says but, well, no one gets to tell me what to do, I’m in charge of myself and that’s that, it’s so unfair!”
“Well, I mean the instructor sought of has a point, if you want to do well you do actually have to listen.”
“Seriously Cameron, you too?” Questioned Stacey.
“Honey you just need to calm down a little,” said Stacey's father.
Not those words again, Calm down, I hear them every day and no matter how many times people say it it’s not going to work.
Aww come on Stace yo.. SLAM!
Stacey had shut her bedroom door right in her father's face, everybody could accept Stacey could see the shocked look on his face so they decided to back away slowly and tried their hardest not to make a sound.

Anyway, said Cam, what sought of car should I get?
Everyone stood there silently steering at him with a confused look on their face.
Sorry, wrong time I guess?
Maybe later hun.. But right now we need to “sought out that child,” said Dan the father, cutting his wife off.
“Ahem, as I was saying, explained Cams mother annoyed, Cameron maybe we could do it another time but right now we need to give her something positive to think about.”
“Haha, beat that,” said Stacey from her room.
“Oh no, said Rachel, Stacey's mum, she already seems over excited.”
They heard a squeak, it was Stacey’s old rusty door opening.
“Before you say anything Stacey, said Rachel, Dan you really need to fix that door, if she slams it one more time it’s going to fall off.”
But Stacey couldn’t keep quiet, she was always shaking with anger and excitement, then she burst.
“I’mactuallytheonlypersonbeinggoodtotheearthallyuoareandandand….” Calm dow.. Watch what you say, interuppeded Rachel, slow down.

Oh, so now we are aloud to interrupt each other? Said the father.
“Yeah yeah, said Rachel, any way try say that a little slower because we couldn’t quite hear you.”
Quite? Whispered Cameron, more like not at all.
Rachel gave her son the eye, the one eye that sends a long message, the eye that says I heard that, the eye that’s evil and never means good. Cameron quickly shut his mouth and tucked his face behind his big bulky but clean hands, his mother would never let him get a quick wash, it had to be a proper bubbly scrub.

Sorry everyone, said Stacey, what I was trying to say is that if I had gotten my driver’s license I would never forgive myself anyway, cars aren’t good for the earth right now because they are polluting it with all the greenhouse gasses.
The fuel is going to ruin our earth and flood our city, it will start with another than another and then the whole world will end up being in danger. Not even thinking about the polar bears, oh those poor innocent animals, what did they do to deserve getting their homes destroyed? Huh, HUH?
Breath, said Stacey's mum, breath.
Stace, I get where you’re coming from but it’s no excuse for not listening to the driver instructor, one day you will need your driver’s license and your lucky you even get the chance. You know, some kids don’t have the chance, they just have to walk everywhere and to them it’s a normal habit.
“Your nineteen, going to turn twenty soon and your brothers only seventeen, you can’t avoid this forever,” added Dan as he sunk his behind onto the couch and turned on the television.

“I did it.”
What, what did you do questioned Rachel turning around in a hurry.
“You said that it would be useless and a waste of money but you were wrong.”
“What was I wrong about Dan, what?” Asked Rachel starting to get a little frustrated.
Dan suddenly turned off the television and spun round to look at his wife, he sat there with his head poking off the back of his favourite soft, grey, single couch and held up a bring blue ticket beside his short scruffy beard. Rachel had to wipe the front of her glasses to get a closer look,
L O T T O, it had spelt. Ahhhhhhhhh, screeched Rachel.
“Woah, woah, woah chill out mum, said Cameron, what’s it for?”
It said on the television that it was a trip on a cruise to a private island named Fralina-Ogala. What date? Asked Stacey.
“Apparently you leave on November seventh, exclaimed Dan, ooh, but it says you can only take two people.

Alright, we’ll both go, said Rachel enthusiastically with brown bob of hair swinging from one side to another, let me put this in my calendar while you call up and say that we’ve won the prize. Eeek, I’m so excited screeched Rachel.
Okay, okay mum, we know that you’re excited, but think about us children, I mean, what are we going to do? Questioned Stacey feeling bad for herself.
“Oh whatever, we’ll sought that out later, now where the hell is that date on this calendar?” “Cam,” shouted his mother loudly. “How do you work with this new app, I told you not to put too many apps on there and, well, look at it, you’ve done exactly what I told you not to do and put heaps of apps on here.”
“Just look at the Calendar on the wall, it’s right beside you,” yelled Cameron from his room. “And plus if you look on your phone you’ll take too long, he muttered under his breath.

Dan finally hung up and put the phone down, afterwards he took a look at his wife who was already planning the holiday out loud.
“We’re going to have a day spa, get some massages and and…
Dan sat there quietly and then it turned into silence, he suddenly saw a wave of water slowly forming in her eye, what’s wrong? he asked dying to know.
Andy, whispered Rachel.
What? Questioned Dan.
Andy, said Rachel a little bit louder.
Sorry darling but I can’t hear you, what was it again?
“Andy and Natalie have their wedding on the seventh!”
“Actually, one second thought, we could just not go,” said Rachel.
“No, we have to go, I mean Andy’s your brother and he came to our wedding,” said Dan defensively. “Anyway, the kids can just go, it would be a great way for them to bond as siblings.”
“Yeah, we could go,” said Stacey springing up from her chair.

But, said Rachel, but, this was meant to be my holiday not yours.
Oh get over it mum, said Cameron as he strutted out of his room, we all know that you're forcing that look on your face just to make us feel guilty.
“I beg your pardon young man?” Said Rachel in a stern voice.
“Okay, everyone just go to your rooms and me and mum will have a chat by ourselves with no eavesdropping, am I clear?” Demanded Dan aiming it at his son.
“Yes,” said the children.

After an hour had gone past the parents had called their children out to say what was going to happen. Day’s had past, more like weeks, right next to that was months, until the leaving date had finally had come.
“Bye, mum and dad, we’ll miss you, all the best for the wedding and hope everything goes well,” shouted out Stacey as she was about to aboard the boat.
“Aww, shouted her mother back at her, we’ll miss you too.”
“Alright, said Dan, love you, we’ve got to go aboard our plane now, be good, and Stacey, look after your brother.”
Love you too, yelled out Cameron boarding the boat, okay Stace, let’s go now.

Both pairs went off their separate ways while Rachel was already texting her children to see if they have checked in properly and found their room. Cameron texted her back, “we’re fine,” but his mother replied with a demand of a facetime check in every night just so she knows that their okay, Cameron finally agreed so she could stop bugging him about it.
“I can’t believe they actually let us go on this trip, by our selves, I mean like how did dad suddenly convince mum?” Said Stacey feeling excited but confused at the same time.
“I know right, agreed Cameron, I’m still shocked that even dad was willing to give this up, I mean, it’s luxury.”

Cameron opens the door to their room and then screams out..
“I pegs top bunk,” as he rushes to get up onto his comfy Navy blue bed leaving all his belongings at the front door.
“Seriously Cam, you just had to throw your stuff at my legs didn’t ya?” Grumbled Stacey as she walked over to her silky red bed, this ones better anyway, she exclaims. I
“know this boat is great and all but I just want to get to the fun and exciting part, I mean I just want to get to the island to we can do all the cool stuff.”
Days had past, stuff went on but Cameron’s right, let’s get to the exciting stuff.

“For the first time in our lives we’re finally taking our first steps into a relaxing heaven, and to make it even better we don’t have our parents to control our every move, said Stacey preparing to take her final step off the boat.”
“Hey, just slow down for a minute, I know that everything’s green and perfect with that bright lavender smell,” said Cameron almost dozing off, then suddenly shaking his head to wake himself up, “but we still need to find our Hotel and get everything we need before we suddenly go and get too excited.”
“And they told her to look after me, huh?” Muttered Cam underneath his breath.
“Fine but enough for the long lectures, let’s just go,” said Stacey right before she sprinted ahead of her younger brother leaving him to catch up.

They had finally checked in to their Hotels and made themselves at home, Stacey spread out all her waterproof makeup onto her bedside table and set up her mini mirror besides it just so it’s all ready for when she goes to use it. Next she opened up their nicely painted wardrobes, she got all her clothes out of her bright pink suitcase and started hanging up all of her bright summer clothes. Unlike Cam who decides that comfort is always better, he opened his suitcase chucked all of his scruffy clothes onto the floor until he found his dumpster truck pyjamas, then he jumped onto his warm bed, turned on his electric blanket and instead of getting into his pyjamas he snuggled with them instead.
“Umm, what are you doing,” questioned Stacey, “actually nevermind, I don’t wanna’ know.”

“Oh my goodness, we have our own personal spa.” Squeaked Stacey.
It’s not that great, I mean why would you have one small spa when the whole island is surrounded by water? Pointed out Cameron feeling pretty smart.
“Fine,” said Stacey feeling a little deflated now that she’s just been proven wrong.
They both got their togs ready, Cameron got all of their food and drinks from the cafe beneath them and Stacey got both of their towels ready for sunbathing.

As they were walking down the had spotted this guy standing on a big rock with his hand above his eyes, he had his second hand running through his silky brunette hair. Suddenly he had put some glasses on that were hanging off the edge of his pocket, he had turned to look their way, why is he looking at us like that, thought Stacey. Until she had seen her brother dodging all of the rocks waving his had frantically at the boy.
“Hey, who are you?” asked Cameron.
“Cameron, that’s rude,” said Stacey feeling slightly embarrassed.
“Oh, yeah, I’m Justin, how about you, what are your names?” Questioned the new kid as he packed up his stuff and jumped off the rock. Well, my names Cameron, you can call me Cam and this is Stacey, wait, are you leaving? Asked Cameron feeling kind of deflated because now he’s stuck only with his sister. “Yeah, well there’s no reason to be here anyway, take a look for yourselves, said Justin signaling them to the rock.

Cameron kept talking to Justin while Stacey made sure that her slides weren’t going to fall off her feet, then she took some steps onto the big rock and Cameron followed behind. Suddenly Stacey's face just dropped.
“There’s nowhere for me to sunbathe, she said, I mean what’s the point of having a so called beach when it looks like this?”
I agree, said Justin but it didn’t start off like this, it used to be so nice and everybody loved it but now all the people who have been coming here have just ruined it.
What do you mean? Questioned Cam.
“like, the sands all eaten up by the water, not us humans, duh.”
“Yeah, this place was known for its beaches, how has the sand just suddenly disappeared?” Asked Stacey.
Well, started Justin, actually nah, you won’t want to listen to my nerdy findings. “No, tell us,” said Stacey impatiently, fine, said Justin feeling slightly better about himself.

“It’s got something to do with the world’s cars and, for this island, it’s our Mini’s. Everyone likes to rent out cars which leads to this, the gas leaves something in the air called a greenhouse gas. Greenhouse gasses makes the sun hotter, which melts the ice”…
Justin just stopped to take a breather than kept on going.
“As I was saying, said Justin, the sun melts the ice which causes the water levels to rise up and that’s why we are losing our beaches and next it’ll be our homes.
“Wow, said Cameron, I had no idea.”
Yeah you did, said Stacey, I was telling you that when you got your driver's license.
Well, you probably did, I just wasn’t listening, chuckled Cam.

“Anyway, said Stacey, if you knew about all this stuff Justin why haven’t you told anyone?”
“I’ve tried, said Justin, I’ve really tried but people either pick on me about it, say the like their cars, or just ignore me and carry on with their day to day lives.”
“Well, thought Stacey, what if we could do it anonymously, like, so people don’t actually know who’s saying it, all they know is the subject and what we’re trying to say.”
“But can’t we just use the spa’s then, asked Cameron feeling bored from their conversation, because it’s not like we need the beaches they’re just there. I mean so what if we don’t have sand, there’s other things we can do, stop making such a big deal over it, it’s not that bad.”
“Well, said Justin trying to sound smart, we could leave it, but if we waited too long soon the water will end up flooding the whole island.”
“But it’s all up to you Cam, said Stacey with a big smirk on her face, we support you either way.” Cameron just sat there with a small frown on his face knowing that he’s been outsmarted and finally agreed to their plan.

“What about you come over to my place tomorrow afternoon and we can look at some ideas of how to pull this off,” said Justin.
“Sounds great,”agreed Stacey. After that they both went their separate ways and continued on with their days. Not long after that they found themselves all in the same room again the day after for planning. They had all brought their devices and sketches of what they pictured was going to be the best way to showcase their thoughts and messages. Stacey decided to think above and beyond on her idea and thought she would design and make a huge robot that will spread the message to everyone very fast. On the other hand was Justin who had designed some posters that they could stick all around the place and then lastly their was Cameron who decided to go for the even simpler approach and thought they could bribe everyone with lollies.

They all went to take a vote and Cameron automatically predicted that Stacey was going to choose her own idea. From the final vote there were two hands for Justin’s idea and one hand for Cameron’s. Cameron couldn’t believe his eyes, his sister had voted for Justin, this was like the first time in years that she’s ever pulled a stunt like this. As he still stood there stunned, Justin and Stacey started tweaking the poster to make sure that it was going to be perfect for the public.

The next day they all got together early in the morning to start pinning the signs up, they pinned them onto trees, buildings, peoples car windows and much more.
“I know that we had to put the posters up so nobody would see us but why did it have to be so early in the morning? Complained Cam.
But the others just ignored him and carried on with what they were doing. Then suddenly out of nowhere a random person was about walk past, they all heard Stacey scream..
“Scramble,” and they dived into the bushes like their lives depended on it. When they saw her leave they jumped back out and looked around. They saw that there was a bike store right next to where they were pinning the posters and decided to take a look.

As they took their first step in they were amazed, it was such a big space with only a little amount of space left because of all of the colour coded bikes standing in the way, the room had grey walls with pictures of old cyclists that had made history.
“Whatcha’ lookin’ at?” Said a voice from behind them.
“Nothing,” replied Stacey in a hurry.
They suddenly turned around to see an old mad with the skinniest legs.
“Nah, it’s alright, what are you guys doing up so early in the morning?” Questioned the man.
Oh, just feeling enthusiastic, replied Justin feeling lost for words.

“Why do you sell, bikes around here anyway, I mean no offence but the people here always use those cars called Minis. Most people think that they’re the cool things now, you know what I mean?” Said Stacey, scared for what the reply may be.
“I could explain it to you but most young kids just don’t understand,” said the old man.
“No, please tell us,”said Stacey it a desperate voice.
“Okay, but it’s about the water and it might scare you a little bit.”
“Wait, said Justin, let me guess, is it about climate change?”
“Yup, how did ya find that out son?” said the man feeling fairly surprised.
“Well we’re trying to stop it as well, no one listens to us when we try to tell them so we’re making posters anonymously so people will have a thought to read it.”
Great idea, said the man, and by the way my names Tom, how about you rent one of these bad boys and try to encourage other people to use them instead of their cars as well, they still look just as good and won’t pollute the air.
“Alright, said Cam already rushing to pick out his bike, thanks Tom.”
“My pleasure, said Tom.

The next few days they were biking around everywhere, they went to go get massages, they went to all the small local shops and bought some new swish clothes, instead of complaining about that there was no sand on the beach they decided to jump off the wharf and after that they went to get some nice warm hot chocolates and then after all those days had past they went outside to see if anything has changed. There was only one more bike taken from Toms shop and that was his own, everyone bought even more minnis and the streets became crowded with cars. They walked over to the tree beside their Hotel where they had put one of their posters and it was ripped in half.
“Why won’t anyone listen to us?” Said Justin, “this stuff really is happening and nobody believes us.”
They went over to the beach to see how much the water has risen up and they saw that the rock that they used to stand on is now half covered in water.
“Let’s grab a stick and calve something in the rock,”
Justin grabbed a long strong stick and wrote, beware of climate change.
“Perfect,” said Stacey.
“Alright let’s go now,” said Cameron.

They hopped onto their bikes and started heading back to their Hotels, as they were just about to split their both ways, they heard someone yell…
“Hey look, it’s those creepy poster kids.” They started throwing all of their old rubbish from their car at them. One of the teenage boys sitting in the passenger seat ripped up a piece of paper and let it go out of the window.
“Oh, I’m sorry, would you mind picking that up for me?” said the boy in an irritating voice.
But the group just kept on biking as fast as they could to get away from the spoilt teenagers.

The next few days went like a breeze, every day was the same thing, they biked, they had fun, they biked back home, and they ate dinner. But of course the teenagers never went away, every day they had to put up with all their teasing and bullying, when they tried to stand up for themselves, it just made things worse. After a while their rock had disappeared, every day they went to visit it and every day it was getting eaten up more and more. Suddenly they heard a big horn.
“Look, said Cameron, it’s the big white thing with lots of windows that travels on water, A.K.A the boat.” Stacey could see by the big smirk on his face that he felt like what he said was pretty cool, so she decided to keep her thoughts about it to herself and just have a little chuckle in her own head.

They headed up to there Hotel to get all their gear together and ready to leave the island, out of the window Stacey could see Tom packing up bis bike store, he had switched around the front sign to say closed and finally locked all three locks to the front door. Then she turned around and saw that her brother was just doing the reverse of what he did at the start of their holiday, he was chucking all of his clothes back into his bag and attempting to zip it up while the sleeves of the t-shirts will still hanging out. Then she knew that it was finally her turn to pack up her bag, she took all of her belongings out of her shiny draws and took her make-up and photos off of her bedside table, afterwards she stored them all in her bright hot pink suitcase.

When they were finally ready to leave they checked out of their Hotel and headed down to the gigantic wharf that led them onto the boat, but it was crowded, it looked like everyone was evacuating the island on the same boat. When they attempted to squeeze their way into the front of the crowd it felt like a swarm of seagulls were using all their force to push them back because there was no way that they could get in the front with this crowd. After 20 minutes of waiting they were finally let in, they had entered into a huge room with a buffet in the corner, they went to sit down and have a drink, then suddenly they saw Justin again.

“Hi, said Cameron, what number is your room?
“Oh, it’s number twenty eight, how about you? Questioned Justin.
“Ours is number thirty three,” replied Stacey excitedly.
“That’s great, we’re actually pretty close, but anyway, I’ve got to go unpack now so I’ll see you tomorrow? Said Justin.
“Wouldn’t miss it,” replied Cam.
For the next few days everything went smoothly for them, they all found out that they all lived in the same small town and they even made some more friends while they were sailing.

When they finally got to their destination they gave all of their friends long tight hugs and exchanged all of their phone numbers to each other. As they went to go walk onto the giant wharf they saw that the water had almost eaten it up too. The wharf looked like it was floating on the water, Justin, Stacey and Cam’s faces all dropped as they made their way off the wharf. As Stacey was calling her parents and telling them to come pick them up she heard Cameron ask Justin how he was getting home.
“Oh, umm, I haven’t sought that out yet, explained Justin.
After hearing that Stacey quickly said to her parents..
“Oh, and make room in the back seat because we need to drop our friend home at his place if that’s alright.”
“Alright, said Rachel, we’ll see what we can do.”

While they were in the car everything was extremely loud, you could hear all the kids in the back yelling..
“It’s too squishy.”
Or the parents yelling..
“Quiet down.”
“Mum, can you turn on the radio,” asked Cam.
“Fine, but only if you keep quiet,” replied Rachel who had a pounding headache.
As the radio got turned on everyone was silent, well, not everyone, their was still Stacey quietly humming to the music and hoping that nobody was noticing. After a series of songs had past it was time for the daily news top up on the radio station, it said..

Breaking news, the famous Fralina-Ogala Island has suddenly disappeared after a big luxury holiday was just placed their. According to the Captain of the boat she explained that she did notice that the water has been getting higher over the past month but she didn’t realise it was this serious, she exclaims that she can still see part of the top of the island but it’s not a place that you can stay for any longer. And that’s it for the daily news top up, see ya tomorrow.
Suddenly all of the kids heads had collapsed into either their hands or laps.
“What happened,” said Dan curiously.
“We’ll tell you about it later,” said Stacey Quietly.

Three days had past and both Stacey and Cameron would not get out of their rooms.
“Aww, sweety, don’t beat yourself up about it, you did everything you could,” said Rachel making her way to go sit on the side of her daughters bed.
“I know, said Stacey, but I just wish that I had paid more attention to this kind of stuff in the past, like, I didn’t even care, you know what I mean?”
“I know, exclaimed Rachel, but you can always change this place for the better, why don’t you think about how you could make a difference in this household and carry on from there?”
Rachel finally gave her daughter a kiss of her smooth forehead and made her way out of the room.

From that day forward everything went north, well, not everything, I mean sometimes you get bumps in the road but they managed to pick themselves up, Stacey went on to educate kids and teach them about the problems about our planet and how they could help stop climate change. Justin became her manager because she needed some extra help, he booked places for where she needed to be and made schedules to help her keep on track, he also helps get sponsors, his first one was of course Cameron’s car company. Cameron owned an electric car company, he helps build, design and sell his electric cars. He’s managed to gather up a whole crew and he even came up with a brand name, it was CEC, it stands for Cameron's, Electric, Cars.
Now let’s rewind back, back to where this all begins, with two small children in one house, and one small child in another, these children have big dreams, and in the end, having these dreams will pay off big time.

I hope that you liked my story.
What have you learnt from it?
Have you ever written a Narrative story? If so what was it about?
